With less than a month to go before the release of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, Yash has begun ramping up promotions for one of the year’s most anticipated films. Speaking during his appearance at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, the actor shared fresh insights into the Geetu Mohandas directorial, describing it as an explosive blend of spectacle, action and emotion.
Yash promises a mind-blowing experience
Yash expressed complete confidence in the film’s theatrical impact, saying audiences are in for an unforgettable cinematic experience. “The film feels wild and unapologetic on the surface. But beneath it lies a very strong emotional story,” he said. The KGF star went on to promise that viewers would leave theatres amazed.
“Anybody who is going to walk into theatres will get their mind blown while walking out. And they are going to go, ‘What the hell was that?'” Shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, Toxic is being mounted as a global cinematic event.
High-octane action and emotional depth
A self-confessed fan of action cinema, Yash also praised Hollywood stunt coordinator JJ Perry for elevating the film’s action sequences. “I love action. I am a fan of action movies and whenever there is action, the kid in me is excited,” he shared, adding that watching the action unfold on the monitors during filming was an exhilarating experience.
Promotions continue to build intrigue
The makers recently released the songs Tabaahi and Madhosh, each highlighting different emotional shades of the film. While Tabaahi showcases Yash alongside Kiara Advani, Madhosh explores the chemistry between Yash and Tara Sutaria. The promotional material has sparked widespread discussion online, with fans speculating about the story and the roles played by Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26 in multiple languages.
