Yash’s expectations for Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ OTT release have apparently been smashed by the box office crash. The film that had generated significant online buzz failed to meet the audience’s expectations. The Geetu Mohandas directorial was once in the race to be one of 2026’s major releases, but its box office performance took a sharp downturn after its opening.
Amid the buzz, reports have now gone rife that the film’s post-theatrical deal is proving to be another concern for the makers. It is alleged that Toxic’s digital rights are still not officially sold, while the amounts offered by streaming platforms have reportedly fallen considerably.
Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is being offered Rs. 30 crore for OTT release
Before Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups was released in theatres, the makers were offered around Rs. 150 crore by some leading streaming platforms. However, the team was looking for an offer that was worth more than Rs. 200 crore. Nonetheless, with the film’s box-office downfall, it appears the film might not even get one-third of what it was being offered.
