A 7-year-old boy has been making headlines after his father made a ‘rash decision’. If the reports are to be believed, the seven-year-old kid was asked by his father to wait on Mount Fuji while his father continued climbing with his other child. The incident has been discussed and has also renewed warnings about the risks of climbing challenging mountains with kids and the importance of staying united, as conditions may change quickly.
The 7-year-old boy was left at the sixth station, which is roughly 2500 metres above sea level, and the summit was several hours away; thus, leaving a kid there, that too alone, sparked a conversation. So, here’s what exactly happened and why the little one was left alone on the mountain, where the weather reportedly even changed, with rain starting and fog appearing.
A 7-year-old kid was left alone in the mountains by his dad, who continued hiking with his elder son
The 7-year-old kid, who reportedly is an elementary school student, went on the Fujinomiya Trail with his father and brother. The 48-year-old father, reportedly from Nagoya, asked his 7-year-old son to wait after leaving him at the sixth station, then continued to the summit with his elder son. Reportedly, the father made the decision after the 7-year-old told him he was feeling exhausted. Rather than waiting for the little one and stepping back for rest, the father decided to go on, leaving the child alone.
