During the August 17, 2026 broadcast of the Today show, Craig Melvin had an unexpected emotional moment. It happened when Jenna Bush Hager was presenting the Morning Boost segment like she regularly does. In the segment, she showed a clip of a grandmother who was surprised by her granddaughter during the former’s final chemotherapy treatment.
The clip touched Craig more than others, and Jenna quickly pointed out how he appeared visibly emotional. She said, “Oh, Craig, you have the Monday feels over there.” Referring to the clip, Jenna asked Craig, “Pretty sweet, right?”
