Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the trailer of the high-octane period drama offers a glimpse into the series’ intense and cinematic world, following four central characters as they spearhead an armed resistance against the British Raj.
The series stars Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta and Gurfateh Pirzada in lead roles, alongside Jason Shah, Paoli Dam and Tota Roy Chowdhury in pivotal roles. The series is set to premiere on September 11, 2026, across India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Prime Video has unveiled the trailer of its much-awaited Hindi Original series The Revolutionaries, giving viewers a glimpse into its adrenaline-fuelled world. Inspired by true events and set against the backdrop of India’s freedom struggle, the period drama has been created and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nikkhil Advani.
The trailer follows four revolutionaries Rash Behari Bose, Sachindra Nath Sanyal, Pratibha Lahiri and Bagha Jatin as they unite against British rule. With General Dyer pursuing them, the series explores youth, friendship, sacrifice and their fight for India’s freedom.
Produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani under Emmay Entertainment, the series is based on Sanjeev Sanyal’s bestselling book Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom. The screenplay has been penned by Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh, Akshita Wadhwana, Shobhit Narang and Rutvi Mehta.
The Revolutionaries boasts an ensemble cast led by Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta and Gurfateh Pirzada, with Jason Shah, Paoli Dam and Tota Roy Chowdhury in key roles.
Bhuvan Bam, who plays Rash Behari Bose, said the series stands apart from conventional freedom-fighter stories, focusing on four young revolutionaries, their conflicts and the brotherhood they share. He also spoke about exploring Bose’s mysterious persona as a master of disguise.
Rohit Saraf, who portrays Sachindra Nath Sanyal, described the role as both physically and emotionally demanding. He said Sanyal’s innocence and unwavering conviction made the character particularly relatable, while the intensive training pushed him beyond his comfort zone.
Pratibha Ranta, who plays Pratibha Lahiri, was drawn to her character’s fight to find her voice in a male-dominated world. She emphasised the importance of portraying Lahiri as grounded and human rather than larger-than-life.
Gurfateh Pirzada, who essays Bagha Jatin, spoke about discovering a lesser-known chapter of history through the role. He highlighted Jatin’s quiet strength and controlled aggression, adding that Nikkhil Advani’s vision helped shape the series as a young, fast-paced and action-driven period drama.
