After the heart-wrenching diagnosis, the couple Nausheen Gilkar and Omar Ahmed asked the surrogate to abort their child as per the contract they had. But instead of aborting the baby, MeKenna flew to Texas where abortion is illegal. After the birth of the child, the couple is fighting a multi-state legal battle.
In the recent court hearing, the biological mother, Nausheen bared her heart out and claimed that the surrogate mother was trying to steal their child. She was testifying in a hearing on whether a temporary restraining order that prevents McKenna from seeing the baby should be enforced.
