Megastar Chiranjeevi and filmmaker Bobby Kolli are currently shooting for Kaaka. The film team is gearing up for its next major shooting schedule in Hyderabad, starting September 7. This upcoming phase will be lengthy and crucial for the project, KVN Productions, known for Toxic, shared today. All major cast members will participate in the schedule.
Middle-class man’s vengeance
The latest update indicates that production is moving ahead at full speed as the team prepares to capture key sequences. Expectations are running high for the project, which went on the floors in the summer. The Waltair Veerayya actor plays Supervisor Satyam, who works at an aquaculture company. “His peaceful existence is shattered when circumstances reveal his dangerous side, pulling him into gunfire and action,” the film’s online synopsis says. Also starring Anaswara Rajan, Nivetha Pethuraj, Sunil, Getup Srinu and others, the film’s music is composed by Thaman S.

The film’s title was made official on August 22, marking Chiru’s birthday. Earlier referred to as MEGA 158, the film’s shooting began in June and has completed 40 days, with the first half of the edit already locked. Going by the recently released glimpse video, the film blends intensity, emotion and high-octane action. Its recently filmed interval fight sequence is said to be a major highlight. Chiranjeevi’s cooperation is credited with the rapid progress.

Kaaka poised for timely release
While unverified reports this week claimed that the film may have been postponed to summer 2027, the latest update confirms that there is no such postponement. Kaaka is officially set for a grand worldwide release on January 13, 2027. This will be Chiru’s second consecutive Sankranthi release in theatres. This year’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu was a blockbuster.
Up next for Chiranjeevi is Vishwambhara, a fantasy adventure comedy. A fresh release date for the film is expected to be finalised soon.
