Nicolas Cage‘s sprawling Malibu mansion has become the center of a terrifying coastal disaster after a massive sinkhole opened directly outside the beachfront property. The collapse swallowed much of the driveway leading toward the home’s garage, with concrete, asphalt, fencing, and other debris disappearing into the huge crater.
What initially looked like a terrifying problem at Cage’s property has since grown into a much larger emergency, with Malibu officials ordering evacuations affecting 31 properties on the same street.
The actor, 62, bought the roughly 4,000-square-foot home in 2024 for USD 10.5 million. The property sits along Sea Level Drive near Lechuza Beach and features sweeping ocean views and a private rooftop deck.
