While the first teaser elevated the excitement, the makers have now unveiled another gripping teaser that turns up the intensity, promising an even more high-voltage cinematic experience.
The second teaser of Batwara 1947 presents yet another powerful shade of this high-voltage drama. Sunny Deol delivers a commanding presence as a man who stands against all odds to protect his family. Keeping the film’s fervour intact, the teaser packs a powerful punch. It offers a glimpse of a fearless hero who stands tall against hatred with unwavering courage and determination.
It opens with visuals of towns engulfed in flames before cutting to haunting montages of frightened faces, chaos, violence and destruction against the backdrop of Partition. Amid the turmoil, Sunny Deol’s voiceover declares that while people are dying all around him, he will survive and prove his resilience.
The teaser then introduces glimpses of Preity Zinta, Ali Fazal, Shabana Azmi and the rest of the ensemble cast, hinting at the emotional and human stories at the heart of the film.
The film stars a stellar ensemble cast featuring Shabana Azmi, Sunny Deol, Preity G Zinta, Karan Deol, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh and marks the much-awaited reunion of Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol after nearly three decades. Produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, Batwara 1947 is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The music is composed by AR Rahman, while the lyrics are penned by Javed Akhtar. The film is produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit and is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on Partition Day, August 14, 2026.
