A young British couple died in a horrific helicopter crash on August 17, 2026. The couple have been identified as Alexander Cromie and Marie Ebert. The duo was on a honeymoon on the Greek Island of Sifnos. The two were in a private helicopter which crashed just meters from a landing pad.

Alexander and Marie were on a private helicopter which crashed, killing the pair and the pilot. As per reports, the couple had taken the helicopter from the village of Markopoulo near Athens, and they were headed to the popular holiday island, Kathimerini. The investigations are underway to determine what caused the crash.
The police revealed that the crash happened just before the helicopter’s scheduled landing time. Sifnos Deputy Mayor arrived at the scene after the incident and shared that there was nothing left of the aircraft. He also revealed that locals said the helicopter crashed within meters of their homes and described a bizarre engine noise coming from the aircraft as it was about to land.
