The idea of a dedicated gig season in India seems to be fading, as international artists are performing back-to-back. After recent concerts by Maroon 5, Coldplay, Alan Walker, Green Day, and Shawn Mendes, another legendary act is set to take the stage—Guns N’ Roses. The iconic American hard rock band is returning to India after 12 years with the Guns N’ Roses India 2025 Tour. Fans can catch them live on May 17 at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse. The lineup features Axl Rose on vocals and piano, Duff McKagan on bass, and Slash on lead guitar. They will be performing some of their biggest hits, including Welcome to the Jungle, Sweet Child o’ Mine, Shadow of Your Love, November Rain, and Madagascar.
Tickets for the concert will go on sale starting March 19. Announcing their return on Instagram, the band wrote, “We’re coming to India. This is going to be special. May 17, Mumbai.” Fans are already excited, and industry experts see this as a landmark event. Guns N’ Roses remain one of the most influential and electrifying rock bands in history. Their 1987 album Appetite for Destruction is the best-selling U.S. debut album ever and ranks as the 11th best-selling album in U.S. history. They’re Not In This Lifetime… Tour, which ran from 2016 to 2019, became the fourth highest-grossing concert tour of all time. In 1991, they made history by releasing Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II simultaneously, both of which debuted at number one and two on the Billboard 200 chart.
Even today, Guns N’ Roses continue to dominate the global rock scene, with over 24 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Their reunion was one of the most talked-about events in rock history, and they headlined Coachella to further cement their legacy.
