John Paul Miller, also known as JP Miller, rose to headlines after Netflix released a documentary, Death of the Pastor’s Wife, about his estranged wife, Mica Miller’s passing. For those who are not aware, Mica died by suicide, and after the initial investigation, John was accused of being the charged energy that drove Mica to her end. And now, with the trial date approaching in October 2026, viewers have grown curious about whether he is still working as a pastor.
Solid Rock church was sold following Mica Miller’s death
Growing up around church, religion was a massive part of John Paul Miller’s life. He had been closely involved with the church even before the events of Death of the Pastor’s Wife took place. While Netflix’s new documentary was difficult to watch at times, given that viewers closely saw how devout Christian singer Mica fell apart, the questions have continued even after her death. Following Mica Miller’s passing, there were widespread protests outside the Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach.
