
Controversial American streamer Johnny Somali has officially been sentenced to prison with labor in South Korea after being found guilty of all seven charges made against him. The 25-year-old streamer will serve six months in prison with hard labor for his lewd antics on his livestreams during his stay in the country. He has been found guilty of a particularly disturbing incident of kissing a statue symbolising Japan’s wartime sexual slavery victims.

Johnny Somali’s trial started in 2025 after he was arrested several times in South Korea for his provocative livestream antics. On April 14, 2026, the South Western District Court found him guilty on all charges. He was accused of disrupting public peace during his stay in the country, such as distributing deepfake videos and getting in the way of businesses, among other crimes.
