Hannah Rapp’s boyfriend was cycling with her on the fateful day when she lost her life. The two of them were riding along FM 159 when a vehicle passed her and then him. According to court documents, 31-year-old Charles Eric Medina drove his car past the boxer and her lover at a high rate of speed. Suspecting the situation might take an unwanted turn, Hannah’s boyfriend signalled to Charles so he wouldn’t end up hitting her. While on his cycle, he threw his hands in the air and yelled at Charles.
The accused then stopped the car by slamming on the brakes, before suddenly reversing and hitting Hannah Rapp. The entire event unfolded within seconds, and despite his best efforts at the time, Hannah’s boyfriend could not save her.
