Hindi actor Jitin Gulati of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story fame has revealed that he has been working on Fauzi, starring Prabhas in the lead. The period action drama is Jitin’s first major Tollywood-led project.
Speaking to Variety, Jitin described the Baahubali and Adipurush actor as a “very generous man and a good human being”. He further added, “He is one of those quintessential good guys who is always there, is the sweetest, is very generous, and is ready to help anyone. We have been shooting for the last two years, and I have seen him helping so many people around him.” The firsthand experience of working with the action hero has left him amazed.

Hindi actors dominate Fauzi casting
The big-scale movie has a pronounced Hindi cast. Mithun Chakraborty and Anupam Kher have particularly major roles. Jaya Prada, who is widely known among the Telugu audience for being cast opposite big heroes in the 1980s and 1990s, is also attached to the project. And now, news comes that Jitin too has worked with director Hanu Raghavapudi on the multi-lingual release.

A surprise of a protagonist
Prabhas’ character and characterization, as per the makers, is going to be a surprise. “I am sure fans will find it exciting watching Prabhas garu, and that he will shock and stun audiences with his performance and commanding screen presence,” producer Y Ravi Shankar recently shared. The film, set in the 1940s and probably a bit later, is made as an action drama with a philosophical and layered undercurrent. Prabhas is also doing Spirit and Kalki 2.
Fauzi, meanwhile, continues to be in the news over its rumoured postponement from December 3. No official word has been spoken about the movie’s rumoured postponement. As per the buzz in the Tollywood media, a January 2027 release is not out of the way.
