Sam Raimiâs comic thriller Send Help to release in India on January 30

Director Sam Raimi is returning to his signature blend of suspense, dark humour and psychological tension with Send Help, which is set to release in Indian theatres on January 30, 2026. 20th Century Studios has unveiled a brand-new trailer and poster for the film, offering audiences a chilling yet wickedly funny glimpse into Raimi’s latest genre-bending project.
Starring Oscar and Tony Award nominee Rachel McAdams alongside Dylan O’Brien, Send Help is described as a darkly comedic psychological thriller that thrives on character conflict as much as survival horror. The story follows Linda Liddle, played by McAdams and Bradley Preston, played by O’Brien. These two workplace colleagues who survive a plane crash and find themselves stranded on a remote, deserted island. As the only survivors, the pair are forced to rely on each other to stay alive.
However, survival is only part of the challenge. The trailer hints at simmering resentment, unresolved grievances and a growing psychological duel between the two characters. What unfolds is not just a fight against nature. It goes beyond to become an unsettling and darkly humorous battle of wills. Here trust becomes as scarce as food and rescue feels increasingly uncertain.

The film also features an ensemble supporting cast including Edyll Ismail, Dennis Haysbert, Xavier Samuel, Chris Pang, Thaneth Warakulnukroh and Emma Raimi.
Send Help is produced by Sam Raimi and Zainab Azizi, with JJ Hook serving as executive producer. The screenplay is written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, while Danny Elfman composes the original score, reuniting with Raimi for another atmospheric collaboration.
Known for redefining horror with a playful yet menacing edge, Raimi appears to lean fully into that sensibility with Send Help. He promises audiences a gripping experience that balances psychological tension with sharp, dark comedy.
Send Help releases in theatres across India on January 30, 2026.
