Zack Snyder spent almost 20 years on a project that he is now set to share with the world. The Last Photograph has been in Zack’s orbit since the mid-2000s and has undergone several changes. The project gained and lost momentum, and had major Hollywood names attached to it. However, it still spent years looking like one of those “maybe someday” movies that exist in fandoms and interviews.
Now, after a long wait, Zack Snyder’s The Last Photograph has finally made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 13, 2026, and here’s everything you need to know about it.
What is Zack Snyder’s The Last Photograph about?
The Last Photograph centers around ‘Ethan Black’, a former DEA operative played by Stuart Martin. He heads into the mountains of South America looking for his missing niece and nephew, after their parents, who were diplomats, were brutally murdered. The loss makes Ethan even more determined to find them. He is joined by a washed-up war photographer, played by Fra Fee.
