A 2022 court filing from Angelina Jolie has resurfaced amid the star’s daughter, Vivienne’s, decision to drop her father, Brad Pitt’s, last name. The filing alleges that on a 2016 flight, Brad Pitt grabbed his then-wife by the head and shook her, then choked one of their children and struck another when they tried to defend her. According to reports, the revelation came as part of the cross-complaint Angelina had filed in a dispute over the couple’s French home and winery.
Soon after the filing, a representative for Brad Pitt, who was not authorized to speak publicly, strongly denied Angelina Jolie’s allegations and called them “another rehash that only harms the family.” However, it was not the first time the allegations were made public. According to reports, the news first surfaced shortly after the flight. Nonetheless, the details were kept sealed in divorce documents and investigations by the FBI and Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
