Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava is slated to release in Telugu in theatres on March 7. Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films has officially unveiled the Telugu trailer of Chhaava. As the movie saw success in Hindi, the makers only found it fit to release it in another Indian language. Telugu was chosen due to the overwhelming demand from Telugu fans worldwide. Taking to social media, the makers announced the post stating, “The epic tale of India’s courageous son, #Chhaava, is now all set to roar in Telugu by popular demand. Witness the biggest spectacle #Chhaava in Telugu from March 7th. #ChhaavaTelugu Grand Release by #GeethaArtsDistribution.”
Chhaava is one of the top performing movies in India currently. It collected more than Rs 29 crores on its first day at the box office. It is on its way to collect more than 500 crores. The movie has also passed the total collections of movies like Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which minted ₹412.87 crore (India Nett) and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. It is about the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha empire. He was the eldest son of Shivaji, the founder of the Maratha Empire.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, this historical epic stars Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Diana Penty, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta.
Filmfare has reviewed the Hindi version of the movie, giving it a 3.5 stars out of 5. “The action choreography in Chhaava is impressive and creatively executed, while the cinematography by Saurabh Goswami captures the grand scale of the battles. The editing by Manish Pradhan picks up pace in the second half, delivering a relentless sequence of action that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats,” wrote our reviewer Devesh Sharma.
