Operation Safed Sagar was the code name for the Indian Air Force’s high-altitude air campaign to flush out intruders from high-altitude posts. It was a frontline effort by the Indian Air Force’s Golden Arrows squadron.

Born on May 22, 1963, in Kota, Rajasthan, Ajay Ahuja was commissioned as a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force in 1985 and later promoted to the rank of squadron leader in 1996. He was posted at Bhisiana air base near Bathinda in Punjab when the Kargil War broke out between India and Pakistan. Ajay Ahuja’s wife, Alka Ahuja, was always proud of her husband and his love for his country.
