Netflix has announced that the Tamil sports drama film Test, starring Madhavan, Siddharth, and Nayanthara in the lead roles, will premiere on the platform on April 4. Directed and produced by Sashikanth of YNOT Studios, who is making his directorial debut, Test also stars Meera Jasmine in a primary role.
Test, the upcoming Tamil sports drama film, starring actors Madhavan, Siddharth, Nayanthara, and Meera Jasmine, will begin streaming on Netflix from on April 4, according to an announcement from the streaming service on their social media. The film has been directed and produced by Sashikanth of YNOT Studios, who is making his directorial debut. Apart from Tamil, Test will also be released in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
An Intriguing Teaser
A teaser of Test, which was released in January 2025 featured Siddharth playing the role of a cricketer while Meera plays his wife. Madhavan and Nayanthara seem to be playing a middle-class couple coping with their own struggles.
The official synopsis of the film, according to an official press note described it as “In a game where the stakes are personal and the consequences unforgettable, every move matters. One moment, one choice—that’s all it takes to be the hero or the villain. This unmissable Tamil film isn’t just about the game; it’s about the Test life throws at you.”
The Technical Crew Of Test
Playback singer and musician Shakthishree Gopalan, best known for her voice in popular songs such as ‘Nenjukkule’ from Kadal and ‘Aga Naga’ from Ponniyin Selvan II, is making her debut as a music director with Test. The rest of the technical crew of Test features editor TS Suresh, cinematographer Viraj Sinh Gohil, and sports director Dhruv Panjuani.
Test is expected to deliver an intense and emotional sports drama, blending cricket with personal struggles. With a stellar cast and a fresh directorial vision, the film has already generated significant anticipation among fans.
