In Andhra Pradesh, a special 6 AM show on the opening day, August 26, has been priced at Rs 600. During the first 10 days, single-screen tickets will cost up to Rs 197.50, while multiplex tickets are capped at Rs 277. From the 11th day, single-screen prices will drop to Rs 147.50, while multiplexes and special theatres will charge Rs 177.

The tiered pricing structure is aimed at accommodating the massive initial demand while making the film more accessible to audiences once the opening phase passes.

Toxic off to a big start

Advance bookings in the Telugu states opened relatively late. In Nizam, bookings began only on Tuesday afternoon, less than a day before the film’s theatrical release on Wednesday. Despite the limited booking window, the early trends have been encouraging.

Thunderous opening expected at the Indian box office

As of Tuesday afternoon, Toxic had reportedly generated around Rs 50 crore in advance bookings across India in all languages, despite the Telugu advance sales having opened only a few hours earlier. Almost half of the advance-booking gross reportedly came from the Hindi version.

The Geetu Mohandas directorial is expected to post strong opening-day numbers across Kannada, Hindi and Telugu. Tamil Nadu is also showing encouraging trends, with the film reportedly heading towards a bigger opening than Suriya-starrer Vishwanath And Sons. In Karnataka, Yash’s home territory, Toxic is eyeing what could potentially become the state’s biggest-ever opening.

Toxic also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara and Rukmini Vasanth in pivotal roles.
