Actor Yash praised Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay for his commitment and dedication during the pre-release event of his upcoming film Toxic in Chennai. The actor was in the city ahead of the grand theatrical release of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups.
‘Actors are responsible to give it back’
During the event, the host asked Yash about the political ascendancy of the Kollywood superstar. The Kannada actor, known for the KGF franchise, praised Vijay’s commitment and the faith that people have placed in him.
“People have given him that position and responsibility. We are very happy that it’s set a new trend. People have such faith in him and I can see that he is so disciplined and dedicated,” Yash said. He added that producer Venkat R Narayana, who is associated with both Toxic and Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, has often spoken to him about Vijay’s strong work ethic. “The love that the audience gives, actors are responsible to give it back. I think Vijay sir has reached that space where he is giving that love and respect back to the state of Tamil Nadu,” Yash shared.

Yash described Vijay’s entry into politics and his subsequent rise as a progressive development. He also commended the people of Tamil Nadu for conducting transparent elections without hiccups. Wishing Vijay success in his political journey, Yash expressed confidence that the actor-turned-politician has the ability to live up to the responsibilities entrusted to him by the public.
His comments, however, quickly turned attention towards Yash himself. After he said, “Let’s hope that the entire country gets into this political thing,” the host appeared to indirectly ask whether he too was considering a political entry. Yash immediately caught the drift and responded, “I know what you are getting into,” steering the conversation away from the topic.

‘Will unleash Yash 2.0’
Meanwhile, Yash is gearing up for the release of Toxic, in which he plays a dual role. The makers teased his arrival by writing, “Coming to unleash what even Legends fear – In One day!”
Co-starring Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth and Nayanthara, the film is directed by Geetu Mohandas. The filmmaker has previously spoken about presenting a new side of the KGF star, promising to introduce audiences to Yash 2.0.
