Netflix’s upcoming three-part docuseries Death of the Pastor’s Wife premieres on August 26, 2026. The show revisits the Mica Miller case from Myrtle Beach. Mica, 30, estranged wife of former Solid Rock pastor John-Paul Miller, was found at Lumber River State Park on April 27, 2024, after calling 911 herself. The show by the Murdaugh Murders directors, Mike Gasparro and Julia Willoughby Nason, uses unseen footage and first-time interviews with friends and family to explore what led to her sudden passing.

Although a lot of details about Mica Miller’s early life remain unknown, she tied the knot with John-Paul Miller in 2018. For the unversed, John was a pastor at the Solid Rock Church, where Mica also worked, leading the women’s ministry and worship team. The duo filed for divorce in October 2023.
